Ingredients
| 200 g |
brown sugar |
| 1/2 cup |
thickened cream |
| 125 g |
butter |
| 1 |
vanilla bean (or 1/2 tsp vanilla essence) |
Equipment
- dessert to pour this over - eg sticky date pudding
Method
- melt butter in saucepan on low heat
- add sugar and stir until disolved
- add vanilla and pour in cream and stir through
- bring almost to the boil stirring continuously
- remove vanilla bean
- pour over dessert
Notes
this will keep for a few days covered in the fridge
