Tagscaramel sauce toffee

Ingredients

200 g brown sugar
1/2 cup thickened cream
125 g butter
1 vanilla bean (or 1/2 tsp vanilla essence)

Equipment

Method

  1. melt butter in saucepan on low heat
  2. add sugar and stir until disolved
  3. add vanilla and pour in cream and stir through
  4. bring almost to the boil stirring continuously
  5. remove vanilla bean
  6. pour over dessert

Notes

this will keep for a few days covered in the fridge
