                | 2 | slices of white bread | 
        
            
                | 1 | egg | 
        
            
                | 125 mL | milk | 
        
            
                | 1 tsp | white sugar | 
        
            
                | 1/4  cup | dried fruit - eg sultanas / dates / raisins | 
        
            
                | 1/2 tsp | cinnamon |

    Method
    
    
        - preheat oven to 175C fan forced
- butter bread on both sides and cut into triangles
- cut dried fruit into smaller pieces (not necessary if you like big chunks)
- grease an oven proof dish with deep sides
- layer the bread and fruit in the dish
- combine egg, milk, sugar and cinnamon and beat together
- pour egg mix over bread
- leave to soak in for a minimum of 15 minutes
- bake approximately 30 minutes or until egg set
- eat hot
Notes
    for a larger pudding double the ingredients and increase the cooking time
for individual serve puddings cut the bread into smaller pieces
