Ingredients
| 1 |
egg |
| 2 |
slices of quality white bread |
| 30 mL |
milk |
| 1 tsp |
sugar |
| 1/2 tsp |
cinnamon |
| 1/2 tsp |
vanilla extract |
| |
pepper |
| |
butter for cooking |
Equipment
- electric frypan (or heavy based fry pan)
Method
- beat eggs and milk
- add sugar, vanilla and cinnamon and stir
- put bread on high sided plate or in large bowl
- pour egg mix over and soak, turn bread to make sure all surfaces covered, soak for 5-10 minutes (who can wait longer than that?)
- grind fresh pepper over
- fry in butter on medium heat until golden on both sides
- serve immediately
Notes
if you are feeling Canadian serve with bacon and maple syrup
