Ingredients
| 1 |
can sliced apple |
| 3 tbsp |
sultanas |
| 1 tbsp |
sugar |
| 1 tsp |
cinnamon |
| 1/2 tsp |
vanilla paste |
| 3 |
sheets shortcrust pastry (puff also works) |
| |
milk to glaze |
| |
icing sugar for dusting |
| |
more cinnamon for dusting |
| |
ice cream to serve |
Equipment
Method
- preheat oven to 180C
- combine apple, sultanas, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla in a bowl
- cut pastry sheets into 4 squares each
- put a spoonful of mixture in the middle of each square
- fold pastry over apple mix into a triangle and roll the edges over to seal
- place on baking paper lined tray
- glaze with milk and dust with a little sugar
- bake at 180C for approximately 30 minutes or until pastry is golden and crunchy
- place in bowls or on plates dust with icing sugar and more cinnamon
- serve hot with icecream
Notes
I like to use caramel or burnt fig ice cream for extra yumminess
